In 1955 this was considered the perfect body. She is so beautiful, body like this please.
I think this is a fabulous body. All bodies are fabulous bodies.
I think its important to remember that food in America was harder to come by in the 50’s than now. And they had less junk food which is a main contributor to extra body fat, so naturally people were skinnier than now. And yet curvy was the ideal. We have a tendency to admire and idolize that which is not an attribute of the common person. We made being curvy the ideal when it was very difficult to be that, and we make being wafer thin the ideal when the majority are not that skinny.
Obviously this is just one view of a very complex topic. I just find it interesting.
